FleetBoss AutoGraphics Groups Access Feature:
A Powerful Productivity Tool For Your Business

A powerful managerial benefit of the FleetBoss AutoGraphics Enterprise addition is its Group Assignment feature.

Every FleetBoss client must create specific vehicle and/or driver groups in order to view and utilize the profitable automatic reports and easy-to-read graphs. Group reports and graphs let your business quickly identify operational trouble spots and areas for improvement at a glance--helping you maximize your fleet's productivity, efficiency and profits.

To maintain an equal playing field in terms of interdepartmental cooperation and competition, AutoGraphic's Groups feature also gives managers the special ability to assign restricted Group access to vital vehicle and driver information. For instance, within the same company, a sales manager may only have access to view sales vehicles, a service manager may only have permission to view service vehicles and the general manager would be able to view all of the vehicles in the company's fleet.

Assigning Groups
Viewing reports, graphs and restricted information can all be done by first assigning vehicles and drivers to Groups. A group might consist of all of the service vehicles in the fleet. These service vehicles might then be broken down into smaller groups based on the area they cover, the types of equipment they cover or even the shifts they are assigned to.

The below example is the Group assignment of a construction crew.

Assigning Access
Once all of the different Groups are set, the next step is to assign the users access to specific groups.

In the User setup below, the administrator sets up full Group access to the manager, Chris Woods.

Note that in Group Access, the selection of "False" means there are no group access restrictions on Chris Woods.

However, in the screenshot below, the Cleaning Crew Manager, Roger, is only given access to those vehicles assigned to his crews. This will limit Roger from viewing vehicles not in his area of responsibility.

The ability to restrict access to different groups by users has been requested by numerous FleetBoss clients but has proved to be an especially valuable tool for municipalities with multiple divisions and business with multiple locations nationwide.
